Dropped Match Sparks Fiery Blast at Brazilian Fuel Station

On the evening of November 6th, 2025, a routine fuel stop at a petrol station in Timon, Brazil took a dramatic turn. CCTV footage shows a man lighting a cigarette near the pumps, when suddenly a huge fireball erupts into the air. The blast came perilously close to igniting a nearby motorbike and a lorry that was being refueled at the time.

Chaos erupted across the forecourt as the group of drinkers seated nearby were forced to sprint for their lives. Fortunately, a vigilant attendant rushed in with a fire extinguisher and was able to quickly smother the flames, preventing a potentially catastrophic outcome.

Authorities in Timon have now launched an investigation into the safety procedures at the Petroflex filling station, as the outdoor café area where the incident occurred was not included in the station's fire prevention plan. Witnesses reported that station workers had warned customers to move away from the lorry just before the explosion, but the warning came too late to avert the crisis.

Despite the terrifying nature of the incident, miraculously no one was injured. The quick actions of the attendant and the fact that the blast did not ignite the nearby motorbike or lorry have been credited with saving lives.
