It is in a remote area requiring specialized vehicles for access, and its containment status remains unknown as of Sunday morning.
Approximately 100 personnel are engaged in combating both fires, with additional resources en route. Partnering agencies include California and Nevada resources, the Washoe Tribe, and local sheriff's and emergency management offices. An earlier update on Sunday morning indicated the Double Fire, south of Gardnerville in the Spring Valley area, was controlled and its evacuation warning lifted, with U.S. 395 lanes re-opened. This fire was listed at 50-80 acres. The Ruby Fire was then reported as 300 acres with unknown containment. Separately, the Bug Fire in Washoe County had grown to over 6,500 acres with zero containment.
