The first victim, a 50-year-old security guard, fell ill with severe vomiting and diarrhea shortly after eating the sweets. He passed away on January 11, 2026, while undergoing treatment. Subsequently, the family of a nearby tea stall owner also consumed the sweets, leading to multiple hospitalizations.
