On November 14, 2025, the aftermath of the deadly blast outside the Red Fort in India continues to unfold. The death toll has now risen to 10, with the latest victim being a 35-year-old man named Bilal, who had been on ventilator support at the Lok Nayak Hospital since the incident on Monday.
According to hospital sources, Bilal's abdominal trauma from the explosion had ruptured his blood vessels, leading to severe blood loss. Despite undergoing surgery to stop the bleeding, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
The hospital is also treating another survivor, Aman, who has undergone both brain and eye surgeries after sustaining 60% burn injuries. Aman's condition remains critical, as one of his legs has also been amputated.
Tragically, the investigation has revealed that three unidentified body parts are yet to be claimed from the blast site. The cause of death for the victims has been attributed to shock and hemorrhage, with metal and glass fragments extracted from their bodies.
In total, the hospital is currently caring for 23 patients injured in the explosion. Samples from nine of the deceased have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory to determine if ammonium nitrate was used in the blast.
As the city grapples with this devastating incident, the focus remains on providing the best possible care for the survivors and identifying the victims to bring closure to their families.
