On the morning of November 4th, 2025, a violent collision occurred on SG Road in Ahmedabad, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old man and serious injuries to two young women. The incident took place around 5 AM, when Aryan Batra, driving his car at high speed, failed to notice a stationary truck and crashed into it. The impact was catastrophic, causing extensive damage to both vehicles.
Batra sustained critical injuries to his head and was rushed to Sola Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead at 5:40 AM. The two women, both 21 years old and residents of Mithakali, were also seriously injured in the crash. One of them remains unconscious and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
According to the police investigation, the truck had developed a mechanical issue and was left unattended since midnight. The driver, Rafikmiya Sindhi, had taken precautions by placing branches behind the vehicle and tying a red cloth to alert other commuters. However, Batra's car reportedly approached the truck at high speed and collided with its left rear side.
The accident occurred near Thaltej, an exercise spot particularly favored by senior citizens, leaving the community shaken by the tragic incident. Police have registered a case against Batra under various sections, including those related to causing death by negligence and rash driving that endangers human life.
