A Dallas Fire and Rescue vehicle was involved in a collision on Thursday afternoon while en route to an emergency call. The crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Rugged Drive and Savoy Street in Southern Dallas.
The fire rescue unit collided with a white minivan. Emergency responders treated individuals at the scene.
DFR reported that one person from the minivan was transported to a hospital in critical condition and subsequently died. Additionally, five people were taken from the scene for medical attention. These included a pediatric patient with minor injuries and two Dallas Fire and Rescue medics.
