Speeding Motorbike Kills Cyclist on Golf Course Road

A fatal accident occurred on Golf Course Road near Sector 43 when a speeding motorbike struck a cyclist, Khelari Prakash, 44, on Saturday evening. Prakash, a resident of Delhi's Aya Nagar Phase-II and an employee at the Two Horizon Centre, was cycling home from work. The collision, which happened between 6:00 PM and 6:10 PM, resulted in Prakash sustaining severe head injuries. Passersby quickly arranged for an ambulance, and he was initially taken to a private hospital before being transferred to Safdarjung hospital due to the severity of his injuries. He tragically passed away on Sunday. The motorbike rider, who had a Delhi registration, sustained bruises and cuts, reportedly due to wearing a helmet. An FIR has been filed against the unidentified rider under sections related to causing death by negligence and rash driving. Police have identified the rider and stated he will be arrested soon after his treatment for injuries sustained in the accident.
