A remarkable recovery story has emerged as Janet Crook-Moore, who sustained severe injuries in a motorcycle accident in Germany in June 2025, is now an ambassador for a new NHS rehabilitation centre. Crook-Moore was run over by a car towing a caravan, resulting in fractures to multiple limbs, ribs, and collarbones, alongside a collapsed lung.
After spending seven weeks in a German hospital following the incident, she was flown back to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. There, she collaborated with the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) team. Her intensive rehabilitation journey focused on regaining the ability to walk again, demonstrating incredible resilience.
Crook-Moore's extensive injuries were so severe that doctors noted she had broken 'every limb' and compared her resilience to that of Evel Knievel. Her new role as an ambassador aims to highlight the life-changing work of the NRC and inspire other patients undergoing similar rehabilitation processes.
