The victims were a couple from Delhi, Vikram Singh, 40, and Nisha Singh, 38, who were traveling with their two children, Sejal, 12, and Dhanraj, 11, to their ancestral home in Mainpuri to celebrate Diwali.

The collision resulted in the deaths of Vikram and Nisha, while their children remain in critical condition at the hospital. Vikram's brother, Vishal Singh, stated that Vikram worked as a security guard in Delhi, and the family was making the journey to celebrate the upcoming festivals.

After the incident, local residents chased the bus, prompting the driver to abandon the vehicle and flee the scene. Police arrived at the site and transported the four victims to the hospital, where the couple succumbed to their injuries. The bodies were later handed over to the victims' relatives following the post-mortem examination.

The authorities have seized the bus and are currently working to trace the driver, who is yet to be identified. A formal complaint is awaited, after which a case will be registered.
