A man has been reported missing after experiencing difficulties in the water at Polzeath, on Cornwall's Atlantic coast. The incident unfolded on Sunday, April 19, prompting a large-scale search operation. HM Coastguard received the initial report at approximately 4:35 PM, detailing concern for a man in the water near Greenaway beach.
In response, Polzeath and Boscastle Coastguard Rescue Teams, an HM Coastguard Helicopter, and RNLI lifeboats from Padstow and Rock were swiftly deployed. Simultaneously, Devon and Cornwall Police and the South Western Ambulance Service were alerted and attended the scene. A second individual who had also entered the water was able to return to shore safely.
