The London Fire Brigade responded with ten fire engines and approximately 70 crew members, arriving at the scene around 16:30 GMT. The fire was contained to a flat and corridor on the first floor of the building.
Emergency crews conducted multiple rescues from within the premises. Several residents were assisted using specialized fire escape hoods, ensuring their safety during the evacuation. Paramedics were on standby and attended to those affected by the incident.
As a result of the fire, four individuals were transported to the hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
