Bihar Children Drown in Canal While Chasing Coconut

Two children from Bihar lost their lives tragically in a canal in Nahla village, Fatehabad district. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the boys, Luv (10) and Kush (8), were playing near the Kirmara Minor canal.
Kush initially entered the water to fetch a coconut, but began to struggle. His elder brother Luv jumped in to save him, but both were overcome by the current and drowned. The children's parents are migrant laborers who live with their eight children at a local brick kiln.
Villagers launched a search and managed to pull the boys from the canal, but it was too late. Police have initiated a postmortem examination after counseling the grieving family.
