Chennai Students' Joyride Turns Deadly After Car Collision

A tragic road accident occurred on the Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road in Chennai on Saturday night, claiming the life of a 16-year-old student and leaving two others critically injured. The incident involved a car and a motorcycle carrying three Class XI students from Peerkankaranai government higher secondary school.
Reports indicate the students were riding their motorcycle at a high speed near Kolapakkam when their vehicle collided head-on with a car. The rider, identified as Ranjith, tragically passed away at the scene due to the impact of the crash.
His two injured classmates, Vetri Vel and Sarvesh, were immediately transported to a local hospital and are currently receiving medical treatment for their severe injuries. The driver of the car involved in the collision, Vasanthakumar, has been arrested by the Guduvanchery traffic investigation wing police, who are conducting further investigations into the circumstances of the accident.
