Pedestrian Dies After Somerset School Bus Collision

The incident occurred on a Thursday afternoon near the intersection of 162nd Avenue and Sixth Street S.W. At the time of the collision, two children were passengers on the school bus. Fortunately, both children were uninjured.
The bus driver remained at the scene following the incident and is cooperating with authorities. Calgary police's traffic section is conducting an investigation into the collision. It has not yet been determined if speed, distraction, or impairment played a role in the accident.
