A Miami-Dade County transit bus collided with a building early Monday morning, causing a gas leak and necessitating an evacuation. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Harding Avenue. Preliminary investigations suggest the bus came into contact with the building's gas piping.
First responders evacuated the building and worked to secure the area. Two individuals were taken to a local hospital by Miami Beach Fire for treatment of respiratory distress. Traffic was significantly impacted, with numerous street closures affecting Harding Avenue, Collins Court, 86 Street, and Byron Avenue as emergency services managed the scene. The investigation into the crash is currently underway.
