The Palm Springs Fire Department, with assistance from Cal Fire, responded to the incident and have managed to stop the fire's forward progress. Fire crews remain on the scene with aircraft support as they continue to secure the perimeter and monitor for any potential flare-ups.

Earlier, Cal Fire had dispatched one battalion chief to the scene, with another responding, along with two brush engines and two additional engines called in to assist with the firefighting efforts.
