Summary
- A train carrying 300 people crashed into a broken-down truck on railway tracks.
- The truck was stuck on the crossing for nearly five minutes before the collision.
- No one called emergency services to report the obstruction beforehand.

An express train carrying 300 passengers collided with a B-double truck stranded on railway tracks in Runcorn, Brisbane. The incident occurred on August 14, 2025, around 7am when the truck became stuck on the Bonemill Road level crossing due to a sudden air line failure between its trailers.
The truck remained on the tracks for approximately 4.5 minutes while its hazard lights flickered and boom gates began to descend. Alarmingly, no motorists or the truck driver alerted Queensland Rail or emergency services. The train, traveling at 99km/h, sounded its horn and braked but impacted the trailer.
Fortunately, the train stayed on the tracks and proceeded to the next station. While the train driver, guard, and truck driver were uninjured, six passengers sustained minor injuries. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau noted the truck's color made it difficult to spot. Both the train and truck sustained substantial damage.
