Bridesmaid's Dance Move Ends in Serious Injury

During a recent wedding reception in Texas, a bridesmaid experienced a freak accident while celebrating on the dance floor. Hannah Buresh, 25, was encouraged to 'get the dance floor going' by the bride and began with 'the worm' before attempting an overhead dance lift with her husband. Unfortunately, she slipped from his grasp, falling and striking her head, neck, collarbone, and wrist. Initially thinking it was a dislocated shoulder, Buresh was later diagnosed with a fractured clavicle requiring immediate orthopedic surgery.

Following the fall, Buresh underwent surgery to repair her broken clavicle with a plate and four screws, with a follow-up operation anticipated in approximately five months. Doctors indicated it was a miracle she avoided paralysis or worse. She anticipates a year-long recovery to return to normalcy. The entire incident was caught on camera, with the clip set to Tom Petty's 'Free Fallin'' becoming a viral sensation, viewed over 34 million times.

Despite the painful ordeal, Buresh expressed gratitude for her recovery and the outpouring of support. While she acknowledged the need for caution regarding future dance stunts, she remains undeterred, stating, 'That's what you've got to do. You've got to go hard.' The incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of celebrations, though Buresh appears determined to overcome her injuries.
