A four-year-old boy is miraculously recovering after falling from the sixth floor of a North Miami apartment building on Saturday, April 18. The child sustained critical injuries, including a broken femur and lung damage, but survived the harrowing plunge.
Transported to Ryder Trauma Center, the boy underwent surgery for his leg, which will remain in a full cast for at least two months. His mother, Edna Ceno Milfort, expressed profound gratitude, attributing her son's survival to a miracle. She remains by his side, facing financial difficulties as she cannot work while caring for him.
North Miami police are investigating the incident, which occurred at a building near Northeast 146th Street and Northeast 18th Avenue. While the window was reportedly closed, it could slide open. Foul play is not suspected. The child is currently in intensive care but is expected to move to a private room soon.
