A catastrophic head-on collision on Wigan Road in Bolton claimed the lives of four individuals in the early hours of Sunday, January 11, 2026. Among the deceased was 54-year-old taxi driver Masrob Ali, whose daughter lovingly described him as having the "gentlest soul" and being a deeply kind and hard-working man.
The other victims, identified as 18-year-old Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, 18-year-old Farhan Patel, and 19-year-old Mohammed Danyaal, were in the second vehicle involved. The accident left five passengers injured, with some suffering life-threatening and serious injuries. They remain in hospital care.
