Boy Critical After Birmingham Two-Car Crash

West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched multiple resources, including two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a trauma team, a critical care paramedic, and a Midlands Air Ambulance. Upon arrival, responders found an off-duty nurse and police officers administering CPR to a boy, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles.
Paramedics swiftly transported the boy by ambulance, under blue lights and sirens, to Birmingham Children's Hospital for urgent care. The driver of the same car sustained injuries not considered serious and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Occupants of the second vehicle, a man and a woman, suffered minor injuries. They were attended to by ambulance staff and subsequently left in the care of police.
