Tragedy struck a wedding in Bihar's Vaishali district late Friday night when a DJ trolley carrying guests lost control and crashed into a crowd. The incident occurred near Hajipur as the procession was en route to the bride's home for the 'Bilauki' ritual, accompanied by loud music. The vehicle suddenly swerved off the road, resulting in the deaths of two children, identified as 13-year-old Sandhya Kumari and 9-year-old Rajkumar.
Approximately ten other guests sustained injuries in the horrific collision. Emergency services quickly responded, rushing the injured to a local hospital. Two individuals in critical condition were subsequently transferred to Patna for advanced medical care. The police have taken possession of the DJ trolley as part of their ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident. They are exploring possibilities such as driver negligence, intoxication, or mechanical failure.
The bodies of the deceased children have been sent for postmortem examination. Officials are working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the driver losing control of the vehicle.
