A tragic house fire in Belagavi, Karnataka, claimed the lives of four individuals and critically injured two others. The devastating incident occurred late on Monday night in Chavat Galli, near the Central Bus Stand, while the family was observing Ganesh Chaturthi.
The fire rapidly engulfed the residence, reportedly triggered by an exploding refrigerator. The intense blaze trapped the occupants, leading to the fatalities of Gajanan Damone, 65; Sharada Damone, 45; Bharati Damone, 50; and Roshan Damone, 21.
Two other family members, Priya Damone, 28, and Ganga Damone, 25, sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The exact cause of the refrigerator explosion and the subsequent fire remains under investigation by the Market police station.
