An eight-year-old boy named Ansh Ravindra Gupta was fatally struck by a speeding car on Sunday afternoon in Mumbai's Bandra. The incident occurred on John Baptist Road, opposite Jijamata Garden, as the child was crossing the street.
Police have arrested Megha Rawal, a 45-year-old Bandra resident, who was allegedly driving an Innova Crysta at excessive speed. Preliminary reports suggest Rawal was distracted by a mobile phone conversation when she hit the boy.
