A 1-year-old boy, Dante Valentín Bermudes Rumi, tragically passed away due to asphyxiation resulting from airway obstruction. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday, March 21, when his mother, Aylin Saucedo, discovered him choking on a piece of an acrylic nail.
Despite immediate attempts to dislodge the object and a rush to Grand Bourg Trauma Hospital, medical staff were unable to save Dante. An autopsy confirmed the cause of death, noting no signs of violence on the body.
