Miracle Delivery: Baby Born in SUV at Casino
18 Jul
Summary
- Baby Noa was born in an SUV's front seat at a casino parking lot.
- The father skillfully untangled the umbilical cord from the baby's neck.
- The newborn received a clean bill of health from her pediatrician.
A remarkable birth unfolded in the parking lot of the Gila River Resorts & Casinos - SanTan Mountain when Regena and Frankie Felix welcomed their baby daughter, Noa. The couple had been at the hospital but were sent home as labor was not progressing quickly enough.
Minutes after leaving the hospital on Monday, July 13, Regena's water broke. Frankie Felix quickly found the casino parking lot as a suitable, well-lit location for the delivery. He assisted his wife in the front seat of their SUV.
During the birth, Frankie discovered the umbilical cord was wrapped around their newborn's neck, causing her to turn blue. Drawing on his military training, he successfully untangled the cord, ensuring a safe delivery. Noa is now home and healthy, with her pediatrician describing her as a 'feisty little thing.'
