The blood drive was held at Cinemark Century Aurora, the site of the tragedy where 12 people lost their lives and 70 were injured. Vitalant, which organized the drive, specifically noted a need for type O blood this year.
Separately, another memorial event took place at the 7/20 Memorial Garden. This vigil included a silent procession past the shooting location and honored the 12 victims, as well as the unborn daughter of Ashley Moser.
