A beloved woman from the Atlanta area, Tamirah Dix, aged 40, has died following a 'freak accident' during a vacation in Puerto Rico. Dix was on a zip-lining excursion in Orocovis, a mountainous region popular with tourists, when she sustained a head injury. Though she appeared healthy for the remainder of the day, she began experiencing seizures after going to sleep.
Her condition worsened overnight, and she was rushed to the hospital, but tragically passed away before reaching her destination. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, with her family awaiting the results of an autopsy. Dix was a graduate of Georgia Piedmont Technical College and was pursuing a Bachelor's degree at Clayton State University, where she was a student leader. A vigil is scheduled for April 4 in her hometown of Marietta.
