Pack of Dogs Attacks Parked Car in Atlanta

An unusual incident occurred in southwest Atlanta when a pack of dogs swarmed and damaged a parked car. Security footage captured the dogs biting and clawing at the vehicle's front bumper, grille, and under the hood, causing hundreds of dollars in damage, including a destroyed coolant reservoir and torn wiring.

Insurance expert Reed Handler explained that comprehensive coverage, often called 'full coverage,' typically protects against animal-related damage outside a driver's control. He noted that for a small monthly premium, this coverage can prevent costly out-of-pocket repairs. The car owner confirmed she has insurance but it is unclear if she has comprehensive coverage.

Authorities from Fulton County Animal Services responded to the scene. The dogs' owner is facing multiple citations, including two counts of dogs at large, two counts of nuisance animals, and two counts for lacking proof of rabies vaccinations. It remains a mystery why the dogs targeted this specific car, with speculation pointing to potential attractions from the car's materials.
