Firefighters battled a blaze in northwest Atlanta on Thursday night, successfully containing it to the third floor of an apartment complex. A resident with mobility challenges was assisted from their apartment as a precautionary measure.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames emanating from a third-floor unit at the Fairburn and Gordon Apartment complex. They launched an aggressive interior attack, working to control the fire as it extended towards the roof and attic.
