An arborist was rescued by firefighters on Wednesday afternoon after becoming trapped in a tree approximately 35 feet off the ground. The incident occurred on property adjacent to Riverside Fire Department Station 6.
Upon arrival, fire crews discovered the arborist had sustained a significant leg injury and could not descend on their own. The Battalion Chief immediately called for additional resources, including crews from Dayton fire departments, to assist in the rescue operation.
Firefighters successfully extricated the arborist from the tree and transported them to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The Riverside Fire Department highlighted the effective collaboration between their teams and mutual aid partners in ensuring a positive outcome.
