Ammonia Leak Kills 7 Women at Seafood Plant

Following the leak, 67 affected workers were swiftly transported to local medical facilities. District Collector S Kavitha reported that 46 workers are receiving treatment at Vels Hospital, while 21 are at Venkateshwara Hospital. Nine critically ill patients have been transferred to Government Stanley Medical College Hospital in Chennai for advanced care.
Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar conveyed his profound sorrow regarding the tragic incident. He extended heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones and offered prayers for the speedy recovery of all those injured and currently undergoing medical treatment.
