The nonprofit platform has formalized a partnership with 211 LA, a local service provider, to expedite the delivery of temporary housing to residents impacted by disasters within Los Angeles County. This collaboration builds upon a year of impactful disaster response work.
To date, the combined efforts of Airbnb.org and 211 LA have successfully provided free emergency housing for close to 24,000 people, a figure that includes over 1,000 first responders and 2,800 pets displaced by wildfires. An additional $100,000 in housing credits has been pledged to sustain these efforts.
