Dozens Dangling After Adventureland Ride Fails

On Friday night, a popular amusement park ride experienced a critical malfunction, resulting in a dramatic rescue operation. The 'Wave Twister' attraction at Adventureland suddenly stopped around 7:30 p.m., trapping over 25 young riders in mid-air. These thrill-seekers found themselves suspended approximately 25 feet above the ground, creating a tense situation for parkgoers and emergency personnel.

Responding swiftly to the emergency, the East Farmingdale Fire Department, with assistance from a mutual aid company, arrived at the scene. Firefighters were observed initiating a rescue, utilizing ladders to reach the stranded individuals. The ongoing operation aims to ensure the safe descent of all passengers from the disabled ride.
