Malayalam actor Maniyanpilla Raju was involved in a collision last night, February 5th, where his car struck a two-wheeler. The incident occurred as he was exiting the Trivandrum club in Thiruvananthapuram.
Two young men, identified as 20-year-old Sooraj and 20-year-old Nidev, both residents of Thiruvananthapuram, were injured and are now receiving hospital treatment. Following the collision, Raju reportedly left the scene without stopping.
Appearing at the Museum police station on Friday morning, February 6th, the 70-year-old actor explained that he panicked and returned home. He also cited his history as a cancer survivor and his current bout with chikungunya as contributing factors to his distress. Raju stated that he had asked others to help the injured individuals at the time of the accident.
