At approximately 07:30 GMT, Suffolk Police responded to reports of the pothole. Officers confirmed that numerous vehicles had sustained damage to their tyres, and several lorries were compelled to stop in a nearby layby due to the road defect.
National Highways was dispatched to the location to undertake urgent repair work. The incident caused significant disruption for motorists travelling on this section of the A14, highlighting the ongoing issue of road maintenance.
