An overturned ambulance was one of the consequences of a significant multi-vehicle incident on the A13 near Pitsea on Friday afternoon. The collision occurred on the Southend-bound carriageway and involved a car and an HGV in addition to the emergency vehicle.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 1:20 PM BST. Three individuals required medical attention for injuries that authorities have confirmed are not life-threatening. Police subsequently arrested a woman, aged in her 50s and from Canvey Island, on suspicion of failing to provide a breath sample. She was taken into custody.
