In a concerning incident, a five-year-old boy named Alex from Balakrishna Extension in Robertsonpet, KGF, sustained minor injuries after being attacked by three stray dogs near his home on Sunday evening. The attack occurred when Alex stepped out and tried to hide near a two-wheeler after spotting a dog, only to be pounced on by the three strays.
Immediately following the attack, Alex was rushed to the KGF General Hospital, where he received an anti-rabies vaccine as a precautionary measure. Concerned for his well-being, Alex's parents later decided to shift him to Jalappa Hospital in Kolar for further treatment.
According to Dr. Suresh, the district surgeon, the child's injuries were minor, and he received appropriate medical care. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for better stray animal management and public awareness to ensure the safety of children in the community.
