Three teenagers lost their lives in a devastating crash in Pompano Beach, Florida, on Sunday, December 29th, shortly before 7 p.m. The accident involved a 2014 BMW M5 and a 2024 Acura Integra. Preliminary investigations suggest excessive speed by the BMW driver as a primary contributing factor.
The BMW reportedly struck a median, lost control, and then collided with the Acura. It continued across the roadway, striking a bus stop, a light pole, and a tree before coming to a stop. The three occupants of the BMW, identified as 18-year-old Richard Manuel Alcocer and passengers 16-year-old Miguel Montez and 15-year-old Ruben Baltazar, were pronounced deceased at Broward Health North.
The driver of the Acura sustained no reported injuries and remained at the scene. The close-knit families of the victims expressed their grief, remembering the boys as always being together. The crash occurred just days before the end of the year, casting a shadow over the holiday season for the community.
