A devastating series of collisions on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway near Sirdharpura village in Unnao resulted in three fatalities and injuries to 31 individuals. The incidents unfolded around Sunday midnight when two Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses, one en route from Mathura and another from Agra, collided with a stationary truck.
The first collision occurred when a bus heading towards Agra Fort struck a truck parked on the road. This accident led to 14 passengers sustaining injuries, who were then transported to the Bangarmau health centre and subsequently referred to the district hospital.
Tragically, a second, fatal collision happened approximately two and a half hours later. The same damaged truck, which was being towed towards Pritampura, was rear-ended by another bus also bound for Agra Fort. This impact killed three people and left 17 others injured. The identity of one victim has been confirmed as Rajput, aged 20, with efforts ongoing to identify the other deceased.
