Birthday Bash Turns Tragic: Lorry Collision Kills Two

Tragedy struck on the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway near Sriperumbudur on Friday evening, resulting in the deaths of two auto drivers and serious injuries to three others. The devastating incident occurred around 4:45 PM.
A speeding lorry traveling in the opposite direction violently impacted an auto carrying five passengers. The auto had been attempting to cross the highway from the incorrect side.
Sadly, the two individuals in the front seat of the auto, identified as J Dhanasekar, 23, and R Dhanapal, 47, lost their lives at the scene. The passengers were en route to celebrate the birthday of one of their companions.
Survivors of the crash, including V Suriya, 26, who sustained facial injuries, S Sathyaraj, 36, with a fractured leg, and K Needhidoss, 27, received immediate medical attention at various hospitals. Sriperumbudur police have registered a case and are actively seeking the driver of the involved lorry.
