Tragic Bus Crash in Telangana Leaves 19 Dead, 20 Injured

On the morning of November 3, 2025, a devastating bus accident occurred in Telangana's Ranga Reddy district, claiming 19 lives and injuring 20 others. The incident took place near Khanapur Gate, under the Chevella police station limits, when a TGSRTC bus collided head-on with a truck.
According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, the accident happened when a tipper truck, traveling in the wrong direction, crashed into the bus. Both the bus and truck drivers were killed in the collision. Mohanty stated that around 60 people were on board the bus at the time of the incident.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, President Droupadi Murmu expressed her deep condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured passengers. She described the loss of lives as "deeply unfortunate" and extended her heartfelt sympathies.
The Chevella Police reached the accident site immediately and are currently investigating the exact cause of the crash. Authorities have also initiated the process of identifying the victims and informing their families.
