Deadly Tempo Traveller Crash Kills 15 in Rajasthan

On the night of November 2, 2025, a devastating accident occurred on the Bharat Mala Expressway in Rajasthan's Jodhpur district, claiming the lives of 15 people and injuring 3 others. The victims were residents of the Phalodi area in Jodhpur and were returning from a visit to the Kolayat temple, located approximately 220 kilometers away.
According to the Phalodi Superintendent of Police, Kundan Kanwaria, the tempo traveller was speeding when it rammed into a stationary truck on the roadside. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely mangled, and several passengers were trapped inside the wreckage. Police teams, along with local residents and passing motorists, carried out rescue operations to retrieve the bodies and assist the injured.
The injured were initially taken to a nearby hospital and later shifted to Jodhpur via a green corridor for advanced treatment. Jodhpur Police Commissioner Om Prakash Mathuradas Mathur and Superintendent Vikas Rajpurohit visited the hospital to review the treatment arrangements for the injured.

Rescue and relief operations continued late into the night as authorities worked to identify the victims and inform their families. The tragic incident has left the local community in shock and mourning the loss of their loved ones.
