Children Among 12 Hurt in CA SUV Rollover

Early Saturday morning, a Chevrolet Suburban carrying 12 occupants, including seven children, crashed on the 5 Freeway in Sun Valley, California. The vehicle reportedly veered into the center median, causing it to overturn and eject multiple passengers.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, with the Los Angeles Fire Department transporting all 12 individuals to local hospitals. One person was reported in serious condition, while the other eleven, comprising five adults and six children, were stabilized in fair condition.

The crash scattered debris, including a stroller and children's toys, across the northbound lanes of the freeway, leading to temporary lane closures. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause, noting that initial assessments do not indicate drug or alcohol involvement. The use of seatbelts by all occupants remains under investigation.
