- The aircraft plummeted to the ground almost vertically shortly after takeoff.
- The crash occurred near a populated area, narrowly avoiding more casualties.

Eleven people lost their lives on Sunday in a tragic plane crash in northeastern France. The aircraft, carrying skydivers, went down near Tomblaine in the Meurthe-et-Moselle region.
French Transport Minister Phillipe Tabarot confirmed the heavy human toll, stating all 11 aboard perished. The pilot and ten passengers, comprising five students and five instructors, were among the deceased.
Officials reported the plane malfunctioned shortly after taking off from Nancy-Essey Airport. It then plummeted to the ground almost vertically. The proximity of the crash site to a populated area meant a disaster was narrowly averted.
This incident follows a similar skydiving plane crash on June 14 in Butler, Missouri, which also killed 11 passengers and the pilot.
