Sales Manager Fatally Stabbed in Delhi Momo Vendor Clash

On July 30, 2025, a birthday celebration in East Delhi's Ghazipur area turned tragic when a sales manager was fatally stabbed, and his friend was injured during a violent altercation with a momo vendor and his associates.
The incident occurred around 10:30 pm when the victim, Vikas Walecha, was celebrating his birthday with colleagues. During the party, one of the attendees reportedly brought up a previous scuffle with a local momo seller. The group then decided to confront the vendor in the Paper Market area near the CNG pump.
According to the police, the momo vendor, identified as Salman Khan (24), called for reinforcements after spotting the group. He allegedly retrieved an iron rod and summoned his associates, Azad Kumar Mishra (31), Monu Mishra (28), and a 13-year-old boy. A violent clash ensued, during which Vikas was stabbed multiple times. He was rushed to a hospital by one of the accused but was declared dead on arrival.

Another victim, Sumit Sharma, sustained a fractured leg during the incident and was also admitted to the hospital. Both victims were employees of the same Noida-based private firm and residents of Faridabad and Ghaziabad, respectively.
The police have arrested three individuals - Salman Khan, Azad Kumar Mishra, Monu Mishra - and apprehended a 13-year-old minor. A case has been registered at the Ghazipur Police Station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
