In a development from over a year ago, the Chicago Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in a 2024 homicide. Osceola Little, a 39-year-old man from Elgin, Illinois, was taken into custody this week in southwest suburban Crest Hill for the murder of 33-year-old Robert Litle.
The incident occurred on August 19, 2024, when officers responded to a shooting in the 4800 block of West End Avenue in the city's Austin neighborhood. They found Litle on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his face and arms. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
After an investigation, police identified Little as the gunman responsible for Litle's death. Little has now been charged with one count of first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear for a detention hearing on Saturday. The relationship between the two men remains unclear, but authorities have finally brought the perpetrator to justice over a year after the tragic incident.
