Delivery Executive Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Delhi

On August 2nd, 2025, a 40-year-old delivery executive named Rajkumar was killed in a devastating hit-and-run incident in southwest Delhi's Vasant Kunj North. Rajkumar, a resident of Munirka, was riding his e-scooter on Nelson Mandela Marg when he was struck from behind by a negligently driven SUV.

The impact of the collision was severe, with the rear of Rajkumar's vehicle being severely damaged. Eyewitnesses reported that Rajkumar suffered severe injuries to his head, ear, and nose. Tragically, Rajkumar was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Rajkumar, who had moved to Delhi around three years ago from his hometown in Manipur, was on his way to collect items from a store in Masoodpur for work when the fatal incident occurred. Emergency services were alerted around 6:30 am, but Rajkumar was declared dead at the AIIMS Trauma Centre.

Rajkumar's relatives and friends have expressed deep grief over his untimely passing. They described him as a hardworking man who was dedicated to providing for his wife, Pooja, who runs a salon in the city. Rajkumar and Pooja had been working tirelessly to save money to build a house together.

The driver of the SUV responsible for the accident has absconded, and the police are currently making efforts to trace the vehicle and the individual. Rajkumar's tragic death serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such devastating incidents from occurring.
