Boyfriend Suspected in Deadly Attack on Young Girl in Jahangirpuri

On the evening of August 3rd, 2025, a 15-year-old girl was shot and killed by her 20-year-old boyfriend in a market in Jahangirpuri, a neighborhood in northwest Delhi. The incident occurred around 8:10 PM in front of a clinic near the D-block market, causing panic in the busy commercial area.

According to the police, the girl had stepped out with a friend to get some snacks when the accused, who was in a relationship with the victim, approached them with another friend and opened fire on the girl at close range. The girl's friend was unharmed in the attack. The accused fired four rounds, and the victim bled profusely before being rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

Investigators are currently examining personal angles and possible disputes that may have led to the attack. The accused has been identified, and multiple teams have been deployed to trace him. Several eyewitnesses are being questioned, and CCTV footage from nearby shops and the clinic is being collected to piece together the sequence of events. The victim's friend, who was with her at the time of the incident, is being treated as a key witness in the case.

The victim's family lives in a jhuggi (slum) in Jahangirpuri, not far from the site of the attack. Her mother works as a househelp, while her father stays in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. A case of murder has been registered, and the police are working to apprehend the accused and uncover the motive behind the tragic incident.
