Zaire Wade Faces Felony Charges After Reported Assault

Zaire Wade, the 24-year-old son of NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade, was arrested and charged with a felony on Sunday, June 21, in Burbank, California. According to reports, police responded to an early morning 911 call indicating a woman was screaming at a residence. Upon arrival, officers found Zaire and a woman who had sustained lacerations to her face and body.

Paramedics attended to the woman, who did not require hospitalization. Zaire was taken into custody on suspicion of felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment. Authorities also recovered a handgun from the home and enacted an emergency protective order.

Zaire was released from custody on $50,000 bond before noon on the same day. The case has been forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office for potential prosecution. Dwyane Wade has previously shared heartfelt stories about Zaire's support during his health struggles.
